Kwame Brown will continue his career in the Charlotte Bobcats. The NBA franchise has signed the 28-year-old center to a one-year contract. Brown, a former No.1 overall draft pick, was a free agent after two years in the Detroit Pistons, averaging 3.3 points and 3.7 rebounds per game last season.

Walter Herrmann is a free agent after leaving Caja Laboral, where he played last season. Now, the target of the 31-year-old Argentinian forward is to go back to the NBA. The Charlotte Bobcats, where he played during a year and a half before being traded to the Detroit Pistons, is the most likely option to Herrmann. In case he finally doesn't get a contract in the NBA, he would consider offers from the ACB league.

Despite the interest of Partizan to land Sherron Collins next season, the 23-year-old guard has finally get a spot in an NBA franchise. The Charlotte Bobcats have agreed to a two-year deal (not guaranteed) with Collins, who will start his professional career after four seasons playing for the University of Kansas, averaging 15.5 points and 4.5 assists per game in his senior year.

The 24-year-old forward will continue his career in the Bobcats after playing during his first two and a half years as a professional for the Washington Wizards, before being traded last February to the Sacramento Kings, where he averaged 0.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

Matt Barnes turned down an offer from the Cleveland Cavaliers to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. The 30-year-old forward was signed to a two-year, $4 million contract after playing last season for the Orlando Magic, averaging 8.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. On the other hand, Theo Ratliff will also continue his long 15-year career in the Lakers, after signing a one-year, $1.35 million contract with the current NBA champions. The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached to a four-year, $16 million agreement with Luke Ridnour. The 29-year-old guard arrives to the Wolves after playing during the last two seasons in the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 10.4 points and 4.0 assists per game in the last one. One of the parts of the three-way trade between the Phoenix Suns, the Toronto Raptors and the Charlotte Bobcats is dead. Michael Jordan, owner of the Bobcats, finally decided not to trade Tyson Chandler and Boris Diaw to the Raptors in exchange of José Manuel Calderón and Reggie Evans. The other part of the trade, that would send Hedo Turkoglu to the Suns in exchange of Leandro Barbosa, could be soon official.

The three way trade between Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Bobcats is involving more players. As expected, the Turkish forward Hedo Turkoglu would move to the Phoenix Suns in exchange of the Brazilian guard Leandro Barbosa and the center Dwayne Jones. But Jones will be inmediately traded to the Charlotte Bobcats along with the Spanish guard José Manuel Calderón and a third player (probably Reggie Evans), in exchange of the French forward Boris Diaw and the center Tyson Chandler.

The Phoenix Suns are close to land Josh Childress and Hedo Turkoglu. The NBA franchise would send the Brazilian guard Leandro Barbosa and the center Dwayne Jones to the Toronto Raptors in exchange of the 31-year-old Turkish forward, who is reported to be unhappy in the Canadian team. On the other hand, the Suns would also reach to an agreement to land Josh Childress via sign-and-trade with the Atlanta Hawks, that would receive a 2012 second round pick. Childress, who has played for Olympiakos during the last two seasons, would be signed to a five-year, $33 million contract.
UPDATE: The Toronto Raptors would then move Jones to the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange of the French forward Boris Diaw.

Michael Jordan, the new owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, could allow the head coach of the team, Larry Brown, to leave. The veteran coach would be back to his former team, the Philadelphia 76ers, who won't keep Eddie Jordan for next season. Charlotte Bobcats have signed veteran player Larry Hughes, recently released by Sacramento Kings. Bobcats were already interested weeks ago in Hughes, but a guard broken finger made the NBA franchise to wait a little bit. Hughes have passed the physical test, and is ready to practice with his new team next Saturday.
