As expected, the Ian Vougioukas and Kostas Kaimakoglou are new players of Panathiniakos, as the Greek club has announced. The 25-year-old center Vougioukas arrives to Panathinaikos after playing last season for Panellinios (loaned by Olympiakos), while the 27-year-old forward Kaimakoglou was in Maroussi BC since 2004.

Panathinaikos has closed the deal with Ian Vougioukas, who will be a member of the Greek powerhouse next season. The 25-year-old center arrives to Panathinaikos after playing last season in Panellinios on loan from Olympiakos, averaging 13.5 points and 5.9 rebounds in the Greek A1 league per game.

Unicaja is also interested in Ian Vougioukas, and has made an offer for the 25-year-old center, last season in Panellinios, who is also considering other options from Maccabi Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos. The Greek powerhouse could be the front-runner in the race to sign Vougioukas, and is also optimistic about re-signing Mike Batiste, whose contract with Panathinaikos is expired.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is close to reach to a deal with Ian Vougioukas, the 25-year-old Greek center from Panellinios on loan from Olympiakos. Vougioukas admitted that David Blatt, head coach of Maccabi, has express interest on landing him. On the other hand, Maccabi has also on the radar J.R. Bremer. The American-Bosnian 29-year-old guard has played last season for Krasnye Krylya, averaging 14.4 points and 5.7 assists (league best) per game in the Russian Super League.
