ASVEL Villeurbanne signs Mickaël Gelabale and Davon Jefferson

ASVEL Villeurbanne has announced the official signing of two new players: Mickaël Gelabale and Davon Jefferson. As expected, finally Gelabale has landed in ASVEL Villeurbanne after averaging 10.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in the last LNB for Cholet. Jefferson, who was also on the radar of ASVEL since days ago, was one of the top scorers and rebounders of the last Israeli Super League, posting 17.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game for Maccabi Haifa.

ASVEL Villeurbanne, in talks with Davon Jefferson

Davon Jefferson could be soon a new player of ASVEL Villeurbanne. The 23-year-old American forward played last season in Maccabi Haifa, becoming one of the best players in the Israeli team in this first year as a professional, averaging 17.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Now, Jefferson is in talks with ASVEL Villeurbanne to land in France next season. Spartak St. Petersburg was also reported to be interested in the forward.

Spartak St. Petersburg, interested in Davon Jefferson

Spartak St. Petersburg, coached by the Israeli coach Davon Jefferson, is interested in signing Davon Jefferson for the next season. The 23-year-old forward has been one of the best foreign players in the Israeli Super League, averaging 17.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in Maccabi Haifa, where Jefferson is playing since 2008.
