Washington Wizards sign Cartier Martin for the rest of the season

Washington Wizards have announced that Cartier Martin, who was at the end of a 10-day contract with the NBA franchise, will be extended until the end of the season, which ends next Wednesday. Martin, who was called up from the D-League team Iowa Energy, is averaging 8.0 points and 2.6 rebounds in 5 games with the Wizards.

Washington Wizards sign Cartier Martin to a 10-day contract

As expected, the Washington Wizards have announced that forward Cartier Martin was signed to a 10-day contract. Martin was called up from the Iowa Energy, and will play for the second time this season in the NBA, after two consecutive 10-day contracts with the Golden State Warriors. 26-year-old player started the season in Italy with the Benetton Treviso.

Washington Wizards, to call up Cartier Martin

After the leaving of Alonzo Gee, who will play for the San Antonio Spurs for the rest of the season, the Washington Wizards need another forward, and have decided to call up Cartier Martin. Martin, who started the season in Italy with Benetton Treviso, is currently playing for Iowa Energy, and was signed for two 10-day contracts with the Golden State Warriors on January.

Golden State Warriors will sign Coby Karl for a 10-day contract to replace Cartier Martin

Despite of the good performances of forward Cartier Martin, Golden State Warriors will release him after the ending of his second 10-day contract. According to the NBA rules, Warriors should sign Martin to a guarantee contract until the end of the season, but that would mean to waive another player. The replacement for Martin with a temporary contract will be Coby Karl, currently playing for the D-League team Idaho Stampede

Golden State Warriors sign to second 10-days contract forward Cartier Martin

Golden State Warriors, after calling up Anthony Tolliver from D-League, have signed to second 10-days contract forward Cartier Martin. Martin, who started the season in Benetton Treviso before being waived, comes from Iowa Energy. In four games with Warriors, Martin averaged 7.0 points and 5.8 boards.
