Scavolini Pesaro has signed Morris Almond. The 25-year-old American guard arrives to the Italian club after finishing last season in Real Madrid. Almond, who also played for the Utah Jazz in the NBA from 2007 to 2009, averaged 3.7 points and 1.4 rebounds per game in the ACB league

According to the Israeli media, Real Madrid is not happy with the performances of the new signing Morris Almond, and could be eyeing the American guard of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Alan Anderson, for the next season. The Spanish team would be willing to offer Anderson a €2.5 million, 2-year contract. Maccabi can extend Anderson's contract for one more year before June 20. The 27-year-old player, though, has expressed his desire to land in the NBA next season if any franchise offers him a guaranteed contract

The signing of Almond could imply the leaving of Rimantas Kaukenas, who could have offers to play in Italy.

To make room for the American guard, Real Madrid could deactive Rimantas Kaukenas, or even waive him. The Lithuanian guard, who arrived last summer from Montepaschi Siena, is at the end of his one-year contract, and hasn't played more than 20 minutes in a game since February.
