The Caciques de Humacao have signed two new players. As expected, James Life has joined the Puerto Rican team after finishing the season in Macedonia with Feni Indistrija Kavadarci. The other player will be Corsley Edwards, who started this season in Shaanxi to land after his stint in China in the D-League, with the Dakota Wizards.

The Guaros de Lara have announced the signing of Curtis Withers to replace recently released Torraye Briggs. The American 25-year-old forward has played this season for the Dakota Wizards, in the D-League, averaging 11.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Withers also played in Venezuela in 2008 for the Marinos de Anzoátegui.

Indios de Mayagüez have signed Maurice Baker. The 30-year-old American guard, who played for the Atléticos de San Germán in 2009, is back to Puerto Rico to replace Dan Langhi, released by the Indios after being signed last month. Baker averaged this season in the D-League 12.2 points and 5.8 rebounds for the Dakota Wizards.

Romel Beck has left the D-League team Dakota Wizards, and will play in Venezuela for the Guaros de Lara. The American-Mexican forward, who was averaging 17.9 points this season for the Wizards, will be back to Venezuela after playing for the Gatos de Monagas in the 2007-08 season.

Dakota Wizards have acquired center Corsley Edwards. 31-year-old player started the season in China, averaging 29.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in Shaanxi. To make room for Edwards, Wizards waived Cory Underwood (signed less than a month ago). The D-League franchise also waived Cheyne Gadson earlier this week after the assignment of Lester Hudson. Curiously, Gadson is Cory Underwood cousin.

After 10 days in the D-League, 2009 NBA draft second pick Hasheem Thabeet is back to Memphis Grizzlies. The NBA franchise recalled the rookie center from the affiliated team, Dakota Wizards, where the Tanzanian player averaged 13.8 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.2 blocks in 6 games.

D-League franchise Dakota Wizards have announced that forward Marcus Dove was re-acquired after recovering of a pulled harmstring. Dove was waived days ago by the Wizards due to that injury, after averaging 8.3 points and 5.9 rebounds. Center Connor Atchley was waived to make room for Dove in the Dakota roster.

Memphis Grizzlies have officially announced that rookie guard Lester Hudson has been assigned to the affiliated D-League franchise, Dakota Wizards. Hudson, acquired months ago after being waived by Boston Celtics, will join Hasheem Thabeet in Wizards after playing 24 games in the NBA this season. This won't be the first D-League experience this season for Hudson, after playing 5 games in Maine Red Claws.

Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet is officially assigned to D-League franchise Dakota Wizards, as Memphis Grizzlies, his current team, have announced. Thabeet will try to improve his game, that have brought him to average just 2.5 points and 2.9 rebounds this season. Lester Hudson is expected to join Thabeet in Dakota Wizards soon.

Memphis Grizzlies are planning to assign center Hasheem Thabeet and guard Lester Hudson to the affiliated D-League franchise Dakota Wizards. If confirmed, Thabeet will become the highest drafted player to play in the D-League (second overal pick in 2009), being a contender for the inglorious honor of being one of the greatest draft busts in NBA history.

D-League franchise Dakota Wizards have acquired center Cory Underwood, and waived forward Marcus Dove due to an injury to make room for the new player. Underwood is cousin of current Wizards player Cheyne Gadson, and this season has played for Albuquerque Thunderbirds and Idaho Stampede.
