It's official. As expected, Drazen Anzulovic, former coach of Cibona Zagreb, Ural Great, Spirou Charleroi and BC Donetsk, is the new head coach of Lietuvos Rytas ro replace Rimas Kurtinaitis. The Lithuanian team signed the Croatian coach to a one-year contract to lead the team in the next Euroleague.

It's official. Rimas Kurtinaitis is no longer the head coach of Lietuvos Rytas, after agreeing both parts to terminate the contract of the Lithuanian coach. The replacement for Kurtinaitis could be Drazen Anzulovic, as reported, but also Jure Zdovc, from Union Olimpija, and a not-divulgated yet foreign coach.

Rimas Kurtinaitis is reported to have been replaced by Drazen Anzulovic as the Lietuvos Rytas head coach. The Lithuanian coach still hasn't heard anything officially, though two Spanish teams could have already showed interest in hiring him for the next season. In the ACB league, the only vacancy confirmed is in Power Electronics Valencia after the departure of Neven Spahija.

The future of Rimas Kurtinaitis in Lietuvos Rytas is not clear, despite winning the last LKL against Zalgiris. The bad results in Europe and losing the Baltic League could lead the board of the Lithuanian club to replace Kurtinaitis, in charge of the team since 2008. The main candidate to take over Lietuvos in case Kurtinaitis is released is the Croatian coach Drazen Anzulovic, who started last season with BC Donetsk before bankrupt of the Ukrainian team.

Drazen Anzulovic was the top choice of Polish Basketball Federation to manage the National Team, but Croatian coach refused the offer. Former Cibona player and coach didn't want the Poland NT job to complicate to find a chance to manage a club. Jasmin Repesa (recently hired by Benetton) and Ramunas Butautas (free agent since leaving Zalgiris) are now the options for the Polish Federation.

Bosnian team Siroki has found a substitute for its former head coach Hrvoje Vlasic, who resigned of his duties after the defeat of the team in the quarter-final round of Bosnian Cup. Danijel Jusup will be the new coach.
KK Zadar also has to find a new head coach after firing Zmago Sagadin, after the new defeat against Cedevita in the Adriatic League. New coach (Pino Grdovic and Drazen Anzulovic are the top contenders) will be appointed soon.
