Nizhny Novgorod lands Ivan Savelev on loan

Ivan Savelev will play next season for Nizhny Novgorov. The Russian club has announced that the 23-year-old guard will move to the recently promoted team on loan from his current team, Lokomotiv Novosybirsk. Savelev, in the Superleague B team since 2006, averaged 9.8 points and 5.5 assists per game last season.

Nizhny Novgorod signs Pavel Podkolzin to a two-year contract

Pavel Podkolzin is back to the Russian top division. The 25-year-old center, former player of the Dallas Mavericks, was signed by Nizhny Novgorod, recently promoted to the new Professional Basketball League, to a two-year contract. Podkolzin has played during the last three years in the Russian B Super League for Lokomotiv Novosybirsk, averaging 12.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game last season.
