Maccabi Tel Aviv, again interested in Sarunas Jasikevicius

One of the new signings of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Mikhail Torrance, collapsed during a practice and is currently in "critical but stable" condition. The Israeli team is already looking for a replacement for Torrance, and has reactived the interest for a former player, Sarunas Jasikevicius, and has already contacted him. The veteran 34-year-old Lithuanian guard, though, still wants to re-sign with Panathinaikos.

Maccabi Tel Aviv signs Mikhail Torrance

Mikhail Torrance could start his professional career in Israel. Maccabi Tel Aviv is close to sign the 21-year-old American guard, who averaged 15.6 points and 5.1 assists per game during his senior year for the University of Alabama. The arrival of Torrance would reduce the chances of Doron Perkins to stay in Maccabi for another year.

UPDATE: The signing is official. Torrance has signed a one-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, with an option to an extra one.
