Despite the inicial reports, Arik Shivek will finally coach Dexia Mons for a second season. Shivek, also in charge of the Israeli national team, was one of the candidates to take over Hapoel Jerusalem, but it seems almost sure the new coach of the team will be Oded Katash, from Galil Gilboa.

Finally, the new head coach of Hapoel Jerusalem will be Oded Katash, who led last season Galil Gilboa to the Israeli championship, for the next two seasons. Katash will replace Guy Goodes, who ironically could be the next coach of Galil Gilboa. The other candidate for the job vacancy in Hapoel Jerusalem was Arik Shivek.

Hapoel Jerusalem is already finding a replacement for Guy Goodes, who left the team after the end of the Israeli Super League. The three main candidates are Oded Katash (winner of the league with Galil Gilboa), Sharon Drucker (assistant of Pini Gershon in Maccabi Tel Aviv) and Arik Shivek (head coach of the Israeli NT and Dexia Mons).

Arik Shivek, who was named as the Israel National Team last December, will leave his current club, Dexia Mons, next season. The 53-year-old coach replaced Chris Finch in Dexia Mons when the British NT coach left the club to lead the D-League franchise Rio Grande Valley Vipers last summer.
