Finally, Federico Aguerre has decided to go back to Argentina. Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca has officially announced the signing of the 21-year-old forward to a two-year contract. Aguerre played last season in Spain for CB Prat, the LEB Silver affiliated team of DKV Joventut, where he averaged 10.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Chris Jeffries is back to Argentina. Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca has signed the 29-year-old American forward for the next season. Jeffries will be back to the Argentinian league, where he played during the 2007-08 season for Ben Hur and Obras Sanitarias. Last season, Jeffries averaged 15.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in the Brazilian league for Minas Tenis Clube.

Cristian Amicucci is the new signing of Olímpico de La Banda for the next season. The 24-year-old center arrives from Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca, where he averaged 9.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in the last LNB. Amicucci has also played for Quimsa, El Nacional and Unión de Sunchales during his career.

José Luis Pisani will be the new head coach of Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca for the next season. The 33-year-old coach (younger than some players of the team like Pepe Sánchez or Juan Alberto Espil) has worked in lower division teams like Ciudad de Belgrano and Oberá Tennis Club during his career.

Unión de Formosa has signed the veteran 37-year-old American center Derrick Alston. The former ACB champion with Manresa and Barcelona is playing in Argentina since 2008, after a long career in Europe (with a brief stint in New Zealand in between). Last season, Alston played for Olímpico de la Banda, averaging 12.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca was reported to be interested in Alston weeks ago.

Two more players for Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca. The Argentinian team has signed the 31-year-old forward Ariel Eslava, who was playing for Lanús averaging 5.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, and Ed Nelson, who was last season in Quilmes posting 30.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in the LNB.

The new project of Pepe Sánchez, new owner of Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca, keeps on tracking the market. The new two targets are Ed Nelson and Mariano Fierro. The 28-year-old American center would arrive from Quilmes, after ruling out the signing of Tyler Field. Fierro, an Argentinian 24-year-old forward, played last season for Boca Juniors.

Besides Sánchez himself, who will be owner and player at the same time, the Argentinian team has signed Lucas Faggiano (re-signed by Estudiantes), Pablo Gil (from Quimsa), Facundo Giorgi (from Obera) and the veteran 42-year-old guard Juan Alberto Espil (from Obras Sanitarias). Juan "Pepe" Sánchez will take control of Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca, if the conversations with the league and the board of the Argentinian team end with a deal. Estudiantes is in a huge financial crisis, and the sell of the club of Sánchez could bring a economical relief. In that case, the 33-year-old guard would also play for the team, and could land the 37-year-old American center Derrick Alston, who played recently for Olímpico de la Banda, and the 42-year-old guard Juan Alberto Espil, who would arrive from Obras Sanitarias.
