Despite agreeing to take the reign next season of Libertad de Sunchales, the new head coach of the Mets de Guaynabo, Flor Meléndez, is considering to sign a long-term contract with the Puerto Rican team. Meléndez is waiting to know if the dates of the Argentinian and the Puerto Rican leagues allow him to take the reign of both teams.

The Mets de Guaynabo are trying to qualify for the playoff of the BSN league, and have decided to change their head coach. Pepo Martínez was fired by the Puerto Rican team, that hired to replace him Flor Meléndez for the rest of the season. The Mets are trying to sign the former coach of the Trotamundos de Carabobo to a multi-year contract, though Meléndez is set to take the reign of Libertad de Sunchales when the next Argentinian league starts.

The Puerto Rican coach, who arrived to Carabobo after winning the LPB title last year with the Marinos de Anzoátegui, was dismissed due to the bad results of the Venezuelan team and his lack of chemistry with the players.
