The expected firing of Mike Brown is official. The Cleveland Cavaliers have announced that Brown is no longer head coach of the team, after 5 years in the franchise. The winning of the last season Coach of the Year failed to win a title, despite having the MVP of the last two Regular Seasons, LeBron James. One of the candidates to replace him could be the Kentucky coach John Calipari, a close friend of James.

The decision was almost taken after the early defeat of the Cavs in the NBA playoff, but the official announcement is still to come. Brown, name Coach of the Year last season, would remain as the Cavaliers head coach with a better winning percentage.

According to Gilbert, the team is evaluating the future of Brown, who could be released offically in the next days after being unable to qualify the Cavs to the Eastern Conference Finals.
