VEF Riga appoints Valdis Valters as the new vice president, while trying to land Karpars Kambala

Valdis Valters, who left temporary his duties as head coach of VEF Riga weeks ago due to health problems, won't be back to the Latvian team bench. The former point guard has accepted to be the new vice president of basketball operations of VEF Riga. The Latvian team is also trying to sign the center Kaspars Kambala, now in Enisey Krasnoyarsk, for the next season.
