Apoel Nicosia signs Marcus Hall for a try-out to replace Wykeen Kelly

Third team in a couple of weeks for guard Marcus Hall. After leaving LegaDue team Fastweb Casale to try (and fail) in Germany with Ludwigsburg, now the 25-year-old player is in a new try-out with Apoel Nicosia, in Cyprus. Former Balkan League star will have a new chance to sign a guarantee contract for the rest of the season and wil replace Wykeen Kelly, inked by Hapoel Holon. This is the second signing of Apoel in a week after adding Rick Hughes.

AEK Athens in talks with Pantelis Papaioakeim

AEK Athens is currently in talks with forward Pantelis Papaioakeim. The player has refuesed last proposal from the Greek squad because 34-year-old player felt that the salary offered is too low. However, the negociation is not broken, so the deal could be done soon. Papaioakeim played last season for Olympia Larissa. AEK Athens is also trying to reach an agreement with Aleksej Nesovic.

Houston Rockets in talks of a three-team trade that would send Tracy McGrady to New York

Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards and New York Knicks are in talks for a three-way trade. If that deal gets done, Tracy McGrady would leave Houston to play for New York, Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood (also under Portland radar) would move to the Rockets, and Al Harrington would play in Washington.

Oyak Renault signs Alex Scales

Turkish team Oyak Renault has signed American forward Alex Scales until the end of the season. Scales was a free agent after playing last season for BC Kiev and Fortitudo Bologna. This will be the first time 32-year-old forward plays in Turkey, and will try Bursa team to avoid relegation.

Dalron Johnson out for the season; Maccabi Rishon LeZion to sign Carmelo Lee to replace him

Forward Dalron Johnson is out for the rest of the season due to an injury, and Maccabi Rishon LeZion will need a replacement. Puerto Rican forward Carmelo Lee, former player of Ironi Ramat Gan, who started the season for Keravnos Nicosia, is the first candidate to join Israeli team.

Serbian guard Jovan Teodosic, brother of Olympiakos player Milos, is a free agent after agreeing to terminate his contract with Greek A2 team Egaleo. 25-year-old player was averaging 10.6 points and 4.3 assists per game in 16 games.

Greek guard Sotirios Gkioulekas is a free agent after agreeing to terminate his contract with Italian LegaDue team Bialetti Scafati. Gkioulekas was averaging 10.3 points per game in 12 games played for Scafati this season.

Palencia Baloncesto signs Samuel Haanpää

Spanish LEB Oro team Palencia Baloncesto have found a replacement for former NBA player Michael Dickerson, who left the team recently. The chosen one is Finnish forward Samuel Haanpaa. 23-year-old player was on a try-out in the last two days. Last Haanpää team was Provence, in French N1 division.

Xacobeo in talks with Deji Akindele, Demetrius Alexander and Dimos Dikoudis to replace Rafael Hettsheimeir

Though Xacobeo Blu:Sens hasn't renounced yet to keep loaned Rafael Hettsheimeir, the Spanish club is tracking the market to find a replacement in case that the Brazilian center goes back to his team, CAI Zaragoza. Xacobeo has recieved offers from player agents to add to the roster Deji Akindele (free agent after being released from Xacobeo this summer because of his physical condition), Demetrius Alexander (recently waived by Kavala) and Dimos Dikoudis (currently in Aris Thessaloniki)

Minnesota Timberwolves interested in signing Nikola Pekovic next summer

Minnesota Timberwolves, the owners of the NBA rights of Nikola Pekovic are interested in adding Montenegran center for next season. Zalgiris denies information about Travis Watson leaving

Russian media Sport Express informed that Travis Watson has left Zalgiris Kaunas along with coach Ramunas Butautas and sporting director Algirdas Brazys, who were forced to resign yesterday. However, the club has slammed that rumour in Lithuanian media Krepsinis.
