Lanús signs Gabriel Fernández, Mariano Byro and José Muruaga

Lanús has announced three new signings. The Argentinian team has landed, as expected, Gabriel Fernández, a 33-year-old center from Obras Sanitarias, Mariano Byro, a 28-year-old forward who arrives from Olímpico de La Banda, and the 25-year-old guard José Muruaga, who played last season for Quimsa.

Juan Pedro Gutiérrez agrees to play for Obras Sanitarias next season

Finally, Juan Pedro Gutiérrez has reached to a verbal agreement with Obras Sanitarias. The 26-year-old center will leave CB Granada, after six seasons, to play for the Argentinian team. The deal will be done when Gabriel Fernández and Obras Sanitarias terminate the contract of the player, who will play in Lanús. Besides Fernández, Mariano Byro and José Muruaga, from Quimsa, could also land in Lanús.

Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca signs Ariel Eslava and Ed Nelson

Two more players for Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca. The Argentinian team has signed the 31-year-old forward Ariel Eslava, who was playing for Lanús averaging 5.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, and Ed Nelson, who was last season in Quilmes posting 30.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in the LNB.

The new Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca, with Pepe Sánchez as the new owner (and player) is planning the next season. Players like the veteran Alejandro Montecchia (last year in Regatas Corrientes), Cedric Moddie (Boca Juniors), Jamaal Levy (Lanús) and Tyler Field (Libertad de Sunchales) are also in the short list of Sánchez. The coach could be Néstor Rafael García, now in the Halcones de Xalapa, in Mexico.

Andre Smith leaves Lanús

After just a couple of weeks with Lanús after being signed by the Argentinian team, Jamaican guard Andre Smith has left the team and the country due to personal reasons. Former Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca player was averaging 5.5 points in 4 games for Lanús.

Lanús signs Andre Smith

Argentinian team Lanús signed Jamaican player Andre Smith to replace recently waived center Dillon Sneed. 29-year-old guard started the season in Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca, but was waived in January after averaging 13.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 25 games.
