Carife Ferrara sign Sven Schultze

Italian team Carife Ferrara have signed German forward Sven Schultze for the remainder of the season. Schultze started it with Angelico Biella, but was released after 13th round. Ferrara will be the fourth Italian team Schultze plays for, after Armani Jeans Milano, Snadidero Udine and Biella.

Ramunas Cvirka replaces Ketsutis Juozaitis in Suduva

Ramunas Cvirka is the new coach of Lithuanian team Suduva, replacing Ketsutis Juozaitis, who resigned days ago. Cvirka was in Aisciai in 2004-05 season and Panevezys in 2006-07 as a head coach, before working in Ukrainian team Azovmash Mariupol as an assistant. Days ago, Nerijus Zabarauskas was rumoured to be the new Suduva head coach, but finally Cvirka will sit in Marijampole team bench.

Lindsey Hunter, the oldest player in the NBA, will retire at the end of the season

39-year-old Lindsey Hunter, the oldest player in the NBA, will retire at the end of the season. Hunter, currenty playing for Chicago Bulls, was elected in 10th posicion in 1993 draft, and won two NBA titles with Lakers (2002) and Pistons (2004), and it's now averaging 1.0 points in 13 games played so far.

New Jersey Nets will release Bobby Simmons and Tony Battie if they can't trade them

New Jersey Nets want to change their roster after one of the worst season of any team in NBA season. Nets are planning to improve the team via trades, and Bobby Simmons and Tony Battie are top contenders to leave. In case of not reaching to an agreement with another franchise that includes Simmons or Battie, they would be waived after the trade deadline, on February 18th

Rumor from Russia: Mensah-Bonsu and Sokolov to Unics Kazan in exchange for Kresimir Loncar

According to Russian media Soviet Sport, there are talks between CSKA and Unics Kazan. Moscow team wants Kresimir Loncar, and would be willing to send to Unics Kazan recently signed Pops Mensah-Bonsu and Dmitry Sokolov in exchange for Croatian center. This trade will help CSKA to improve his frontcourt when injured Matjaz Smodis returns to the court.

AEK Athens interested in Aleksej Nesovic

AEK Athens are interested in Bosnian guard Aleksej Nesovic, who started this season with Turkish team Aliaga, playing just one game. The club expects to sign the player soon to strenghten the backcourt. Last season, Nesovic played for Asseco Prokom and Union Olimpija Ljubljana.
