Denver Nuggets, to offer a contract to Brian Cook

Brian Cook, recently waived by Houston Rockets, is the chosen big man by Denver Nuggets, which was tracking the market for a replacement for injuried forward Kenyon Martin. The NBA franchise will offer Cook a contract soon. Other names considered for Nuggets were, among others, Mark Blount, Mikki Moore or Rob Kurz.

Meridiano Alicante offers extension to Mindaugas Katelynas

Meridiano Alicante has contacted Mindaugas Katelynas agent to start negotiations to extend Lithuanian forward expiring contract. Katelynas is the top scorer for Spanish team this season, and a player that could be interesting for other European teams this summer. 26-year-old player arrived this season from Armani Jeans Milano.

San Antonio Spurs sign Cedric Jackson for a 10-day contract

As expected, San Antonio Spurs officially announced that guard Cedric Jackson was called up from the D-League, and signed for a 10-day contract. Jackson was playing for Erie BayHawks after ending his two 10-day contracts with Cleveland Cavaliers last month, playing 5 games.

Real Madrid is already planning next seasons, and has already started conversations to extend contract for the team top prospect, Sergio Llull. Young guard is also under the radar of Houston Rockets. The NBA franchise drafted him last year, and is already interested in signing him as soon as posible. Llull contract expires in 2011. Liaoning waives Brandon Johnson after officially signing Carlos Powell

As expected, Carlos Powell was officially announced as new Liaoning player. Powell arrives to China after starting the season with D-League team Albuquerque Thunderbirds. To make room for Powell, Liaoning waived American guard Brandon Robinson, who is now a free agent.

Düsseldorf Giants fire Achim Kuczmann, and promote Hansi Gnad as head coach

Düsseldorf Giants have announced that Achim Kuczmann is no longer head coach of the German team. Giants are currently in the 15th place of the BBL after losing nine of the last ten games. Unicaja asks again to Efes Pilsen for Igor Rakocevic

Though Igor Rakocevic doesn't want to play for Unicaja, the Spanish team insists in add him to the roster, and has asked his club, Efes Pilsen, for a loan. While Miami Heat have still no direct contact with suspended guard Rafer Alston, who is not available for the team, the NBA franchise is already looking for a replacement. Oklahoma City Thunder recall D.J. White

Oklahoma City Thunder have recalled forward D.J. White, who was assigned to the D-League affiliated, Tulsa 66ers. White was one of the three Thunder players assigned to the 66ers, along with B.J. Mullens and Kyle Weaver, and averaged 23.0 points and 11.8 in four games. Previously, White played another six games with Tulsa at the start of the season.

Suduva releases Lodrick Stewart, Rashaun Broadus could be the next

After the sudden leaving of Rashaun Broadus and Lodrick Stewart of Suduva, the Lithuanian team has decided to dismiss Stewart, and considered the same treatment for Broadus. Both American players left Suduva due to payment delays the club doesn't admit. Stewart was on a try-out, while Broadus was playing for Suduva since the start of the season.
