Efes Pilsen will release Daniel Santiago and another foreign player

Efes Pilsen General Manager, Engin Ozerhun, has announced that Daniel Santiago will leave the team after the next Euroleague game. Puerto Rican center has only played the European competition with the Turkish team, which failed to qualify for the next stage. Ozerhun also said that another foreign player will leave the team with Santiago. Igor Rakocevic (with Unicaja interested in him), and Bostjan Nachbar (who could move to the NBA) are the favorites to leave the Turkish team.

NH Ostrava inks Antoine Hood

Czech squad NH Ostrava signed American guard Antoine Hood. 27-year-old player has a brief experience in the NBA after playing three games with Denver Nuggets in 2006, but ended the season in D-League, playing for Colorado 14ers. After two years on the Air Force, was dismissed last December, and now is back to the game in the Czech Republic.

Paderborn signs LaShon Sheffield

German team Paderborn Baskets has signed American player LaShon Sheffield for the rest of the season. 25-year-old guard played two months in ABA franchise North Texas Fresh, and also in Nördlingen and Bayreuth in the German ProA in the last two seasons. Paderborn hired Dirk Happe as the new head coach.

Regatas Corrientes waived B.J. Puckett and signs Nick Billings

Argentinian team Regatas Corrientes signed center Nick Billings to replace B.J. Pickett, who was released and will play for San Martín de Marcos Juárez, in TNA division. Billings comes from Uruguayan team Biguá, averaging 16.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.

Central Entrerriano signs former NBA player Jermaine Jackson

Argentinian team Central Entrerriano signed American player Jermaine Jackson. 33-year-old guard played in several teams NBA during his career, and also in countries like Spain, Greece or Italy. Last team Jackson played for was Lobos Grises, in Mexico. Jackson will replace waived Tim Jennings.

BC Odessa signs Marko Jovanovic

Ukrainian team BC Odessa signed Serbian center Marko Jovanovic. 27-year-old player arrives from Ergonom Nis, in Serbian Superleague. Jovanovic averaged 9.1 points and 5.7 rebounds in 14 games played. Odessa wants Jovanovic to help the team especially in the play-offs.

Oklahoma City Thunder re-assign D.J. White to the D-League

Oklahoma City Thunder have decided to assign another player to the D-League, besides of B.J. Mullens and Kyle Weaver. The third one is forward D.J. White, who will play for the affiliated team of the Thunder, Tulsa 66ers. White, currently recovering from a thumb injury, was already sent to the 66ers for 6 games earlier this season, averaging 18.3 points and 11.2 rebounds.
