Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Critterton, suspended for the rest of the season by the NBA

NBA commissioner David Stern has suspended Gilbert Arenas for the rest of the season, and the Washington Wizards' star guard has told associates that he will not appeal the league's decision, according to a league source. Crittenton also was suspended for the rest of the season in the decision handed down Wednesday afternoon. Both players pleaded guilty of an incident in Wizards locker involving guns.

Vanoli Cremona released Gary Forbes

As expected after Matt Walsh signing, Panamian guard Gary Forbes was waived by Vanoli Cremona, and is now a free agent. Forbes arrived this season to Italian team, after playing the last one in the D-League, in Philippines and in Venezuela. The first Forbes' European experience only lasted 5 months

Umana Reyer signs Tyrone Grant, previously waived by Benetton, and Alvin Young

Italian LegaDue team Umana Reyer made some movements in the roster. After waiving guard Valentino Maxwell (now on a try out with A.B. Latina), Venetian club signed forward Tyrone Grant (recently waived by Lega A team Benetton Treviso) and guard Alvin Young (who started the season in Nuovo Pallacanestro Pavia)

Stephon Marbury is already in China to join Shanxi

Former NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury is in China to sign the contract to play with CBA team Shanxi. His debut in Chinese league is on hold because of his physical condition, still to be tested by his new team. Marbury will be the highest-rated United States player to take part ever in the CBA.

Damir Miljkovic, back to KK Zagreb

Croatian guard Damir Miljkovic is back to KK Zagreb, his first professional team. 29 year old player left the team in 2006, and he played since then in Russia, Greece and, last season, in Polish team Turow Zgorzelec. Miljkovic was a free agent since last summer.

Trikala 2000 signs Bojan Bakic

Greek team Trikala 2000 have signed until the end of the season Bojan Bakic. The Montenegrin guard played last season in Poland, for Energa Czarni. Trikala will be the second Greek team Bakic plays for, after being part in Maroussi BC roster in 2008-09 season

Former NBA player Alexander Johnson, signed by Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls Skyforce signed former NBA player Alexander Johnson. The D-League franchise waived Terrence Gamble (signed just a few days ago) to make room for the forward. Last season, Johnson played for Brose Baskets Bamberg in the German league. In his two first seasons as a professional, he played for Memphis and Miami, and played 5 games in the D-League (Arkansas RimRockers), assigned by Grizzlies.

Bizkaia Bilbao Basket, to release soon Robert Conley

American forward Robert Conley didn't play in the EuroCup game between his club, Bizkaia Bilbao Basket, and Benetton Treviso. Conley, signed this year first to a month contract, and then for the rest of the season, is set to leave the team soon.

Caja Laboral won't sign a replacement for Stanko Barac

After days of tracking the market looking for a replacement for injured center Stanko Barac, Caja Laboral finally gave up. The Spanish team didn't find any player who could fit in the roster with a reasonable salary, so they will play the Top 16 with just one real center, Tiago Splitter. The only signing before the next Euroleague stage will be Taquan Dean.

New Yorker Phantoms inks veteran Marcus Goree

Former Euroleague star, Marcus Goree, is back to Germany. 32 year old forward was signed by the New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig to replace injured Nate Fox. Goree also played in Germany during the 2002-03 season in Opel Skyliners Frankfurt. Former CSKA and Maccabi player was last season in Russia, playing for Triumph Lyubertsy

Bobby Brown traded to the Clippers; JamesOn Curry is waived

New Orleans Hornets traded guard Bobby Brown in exchange for Los Angeles Clippers 2014 draft second round. This is the second time Clippers and Hornets make a deal this season, after the trade of Rasual Butler to Los Angeles. To make room to Brown, Clippers waived JamesOn Curry, recently signed to a 10-day contract from the D-League
