Igor Rakocevic and Mario Kasun will stay in Efes Pilsen, while Bostjan Nachbar and Preston Shumpert will probably leave

The Slovenian forward Bostjan Nachbar and the American forward Preston Shumpert will very likely leave Efes Pilsen after the arrival of Velimir Perasovic to the Turkish bench. On the other hand, the Serbian guard Igor Rakocevic (who played for Perasovic in Caja Laboral) and the Croatian center Mario Kasun will probably stay with in the team despite the rumors about their departures.

Igor Rakocevic could play next season in Spain

Igor Rakocevic told via Twitter that he's going to take permanent residence in Bilbao. The 32-year-old guard, currently playing for Efes Pilsen, also admitted that he would love to play again along with Tiago Splitter, from his former team Caja Laboral. Vitoria, when Caja Laboral is based, is 65 km away from Bilbao.

Igor Rakocevic will remain in Efes Pilsen until the end of the season.

Bostjan Nachbar will be the second foreign player who will leave Efes Pilsen after Daniel Santiago as soon as he reaches an agreement with the club to terminate his contract. The other candidate, Igor Rakocevic, will finally remain in Efes at least this season. Serbian guard had offers from Unicaja and Lottomatica Roma, but he didn’t find them interesting, and won’t buy-out his contract if he loses money in the negotiation.

Igor Rakocevic, not excited about Lottomatica, could stay in Efes Pilsen

Another player who could be released by Efes Pilsen is Igor Rakocevic. So far, Unicaja and Lottomatica are reported to be interested in Serbian guard, but the 31-year-old player has slammed any information about landing in the Spanish team, and it's not excited about the idea of spending the rest of the season in Lottomatica. Efes Pilsen won't force his leaving if Nachbar is finally transfered to another team.

Lottomatica Roma, the dark horse in the race to sign Igor Rakocevic

After days of rumors about the arrival of Igor Rakocevic to Unicaja (constantly denied by the Serbian player), another team is in the mix to hire Efes Pilsen player. Italian team Lottomatica Roma, who has just transfered Ricky Minard to Khimki, could add Rakocevic to the roster instead of Bobby Dixon, the main target in the last days.

Unicaja asks again to Efes Pilsen for Igor Rakocevic

Though Igor Rakocevic doesn't want to play for Unicaja, the Spanish team insists in add him to the roster, and has asked his club, Efes Pilsen, for a loan. Unicaja is hoping that the elimination of Efes Pilsen in Euroleague helps the Turkish team to accept a lower offer for the Serbian player, who can left the team soon.

Igor Rakocevic, closer to leave Efes Pilsen

Igor Rakocevic wasn't placed by Efes Pilsen in the active list for the game against Galatasaray in the Turkish league. Last week, Efes Pilsen general manager Engin Ozerhun announced that one foreign player, besides Daniel Santiago, will leave the team next week. Rakocevic, who has Unicaja interested in him, is the favorite to leave Istambul.

Efes Pilsen will release Daniel Santiago and another foreign player

Efes Pilsen General Manager, Engin Ozerhun, has announced that Daniel Santiago will leave the team after the next Euroleague game. Puerto Rican center has only played the European competition with the Turkish team, which failed to qualify for the next stage. Ozerhun also said that another foreign player will leave the team with Santiago. Igor Rakocevic (with Unicaja interested in him), and Bostjan Nachbar (who could move to the NBA) are the favorites to leave the Turkish team.

Igor Rakocevic denies any intention of going loaned to Unicaja

Serbian guard Igor Rakocevic doesn't want to go to Unicaja. In his official Twitter, Rakocevic has denied categorically the rumors saying he will go loaned from Efes Pilsen to Spanish team. 31-year-old player had several bad experiences with Unicaja fans in his stint in Spain, and has Caja Laboral as his prefered team if he ever comes back to ACB league.

Unicaja board has approved to provide extra funds to get Serbian guard Igor Rakocevic, currently unhappy in Efes Pilsen, on loan. Rakocevic would replace suspended player Juan Dixon. 31-year-old player prefers to buy-out his contract, but would accept a loan to Unicaja.

Unicaja wants Igor Rakocevic

Still shocked by the Juan Dixon positive testing in an anti-doping control, Unicaja has reactivated the interest for Igor Rakocevic. The Serbian player, unhappy in Efes Pilsen, was also under the radar of Unicaja before Dixon signing, and would love to be back in Spain, where he played for Pamesa Valencia, Real Madrid and Tau Cerámica.

Igor Rakocevic, to be released from Efes Pilsen

The relationship between Efes Pilsen coach, Ergin Ataman, and Serbian forward Igor Rakocevic, is broke. Ataman will ask the club management for the releasement of Rakocevic, signed this season from TAU Cerámica. Unicaja was interested in the player before signing Juan Dixon, now suspended by the FIBA due to test positive in an anti-doping control.
