Valdis Valters steps down as the VEF Riga head coach for health problems
Valdis Valters has stepped down his duties as the VEF Riga head coach, due to health reasons. The 52-year-old coach, former player of the Soviet national team in the 80's, was in charge of the Latvian team since 2008. Valters will be temporary replaced by the assistant coach Nikolajs Mazurs
