Cedric Jackson is released from San Antonio Spurs and re-acquired by Erie BayHawks

San Antonio Spurs have decided not to extend Cedric Jackson 10-day contract, and the guard was re-acquired by his D-League franchise, Erie BayHawks. Jackson averaged 2.3 points and 2.0 assists in 3 games with the Spurs, and also played 5 games with Cleveland Cavaliers after signing two consecutive 10-days contracts.

Strasbourg could sign Bozidar Maljkovic

Unexpected news from France. One of the teams fighting to avoid relegation in French LNB, Strasbourg, could sign one of the most succesful coaches in Europe during the last decades, Bozidar Maljkovic. Darnell Jackson, back to the D-League

Cleveland Cavaliers have re-assigned forward Darnell Jackson to the D-League affiliated, Erie BayHawks. Jackson was already assigned weeks ago to the BayHawks, but was recalled after playing just one game in the D-League, posting 34 points and 12 rebounds against Dakota Wizards.

Maine Red Claws sign Brock Gillespie and waive Terrel Harris

Maine Red Claws have announced the acquisition of Brock Gillespie. 27-year-old guard started the season in Finnish team Joensuun Kataja before moving to the Lebanon to join Beirut Antranik, where he averaged 26.7 points and 5.9 assists per game. Lithuanian center Zydrunas Ilgauskas is training in a suburban Cleveland gym while waiting to sign a contract with his former team, the Cavs. NBA franchise traded Ilgauskas weeks ago to Washington, which waived him a week later. Bogdan Tanjevic diagnosed with colon cancer

Montenegrin coach Bogdan Tanjevic was diagnosed with colon cancer, according to Turkish media. 63-year-old coach, currently in Fenerbahce and also in Turkish National Team, will have to fight the same cancer as Denver Nuggets coach George Karl in 2005. Igor Rakocevic will remain in Efes Pilsen until the end of the season.

Bostjan Nachbar will be the second foreign player who will leave Efes Pilsen after Daniel Santiago as soon as he reaches an agreement with the club to terminate his contract. The other candidate, Igor Rakocevic, will finally remain in Efes at least this season.
