Caja Laboral, in talks with Esteban Batista, who won't continue in Fuenlabrada

The agent of Esteban Batista admitted to be in talks with Caja Laboral and other European teams, and confirmed that the 26-year-old Uruguayan center won't be back to Baloncesto Fuenlabrada, his team last season, despite being under contract until 2012. Caja Laboral would be willing to offer the 31-year-old Argentinian forward Walter Herrmann (former player of Fuenlabrada) in exchange of Batista, who averaged 14.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game last season. Unicaja, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Galatasaray are also reported to be interested in Batista.

Tiago Splitter would only leave Caja Laboral to play in the NBA

Caja Laboral would only allow the leaving of the star of the team, Tiago Splitter, to the NBA. The Spanish team has no intentions of letting him move to another European team. Josean Querejeta, chairman of the club, still hopes the Brazilian center to continue in Caja Laboral, but admitted that the dream of Splitter is to play in the NBA. The San Antonio Spurs are the owner of his NBA rights. One of the possible subsitutes of Tiago Splitter next season, the Uruguayan center of Ayuda en Acción Fuenlabrada Esteban Batista, said he doesn't know anything about the interest of Caja Laboral for signing him.
