DKV Joventut will sign Sergi Vidal next season

Sergi Vidal will be back to DKV Joventut next season. According to sources, current Real Madrid forward is already looking for a house near Badalona, also his hometown. 28-year-old player left Joventut in 2000 to play for TAU Cerámica (now Caja Laboral), and was signed last summer by Real Madrid for two seasons, but will probably buy-out his contract after the end of this one.

Earl Clark, assigned to the D-League by Phoenix Suns

Phoenix Suns have announced that rookie forward Earl Clark was assigned to the affiliated D-League franchise, Iowa Energy. 2009 lottery pick has played 45 games with the Suns this season, averaging just 2.7 points and 1.1 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per game.

Pepsi Caserta releases Robert Hite

Two months after signing him, Italian team Pepsi Caserta has released American guard Robert Hite, who arrived after being waived by Sutor Montegranaro. Hite played three games with Caserta, averaging 12.7 points and 3.7 rebounds, but his last game was almost a month ago, against Armani Jeans Milano.

Benetton Treviso inks Maurice Taylor

As expected, Italian team Benetton Treviso have signed American forward (with Italian passport) Maurice Taylor for the rest of the season. 33-year-old player arrives from Chinese team Shanxi, averaging 18.6 points and 6.8 rebounds. Taylor, former NBA player, is back to Italy after playing last season for Armani Jeans Milano.

Power Electronics Valencia, to extend Neven Spahija contract for two years

Spanish team Power Electronics Valencia and Croatian coach Neven Spahija have agreed to extend Spahija expiring contract for two more years. 47-year-old coach arrived to Valencia last season to replace Fotis Katsikaris, and is currently placing the Spanish team in the 4th place in ACB league.

Miami Heat, close to sign Kenny Hasbrouck

Former Siena University guard Kanny Hasbrouck will be signed by Miami Heat in the next hours. Hasbrouck, recently acquired by D-League franchise Rio Grande Valley Vipers, was one of the first options to replace suspended guard Rafer Alston. Hasbrouck is averaging 16.9 points in 10 games for the Vipers.

Philippine team Air21 Express was close to sign Leroy Hickerson, lately under the radar of Puerto Rican team Atléticos de San Germán. But American forward injured his elbow in a car accident, and won't join Air21. The new import for the team will be forward Keena Young, who last played in South Korea for Mobis Phoebus.

Budivenik and Maceo Baston part ways

Maceo Baston is no longer player of Budivelnik, after the Ukrainian team and the American forward agreed to part ways. Baston, signed a couple of weeks ago, wasn't in the best physical shape, and the club decided not to keep it in the roster. 33-year-old forward just played one scoreless game in 5 minutes with Budivelnik.
