Kosta Koufos, recalled by Utah Jazz

Greek-American center Kosta Koufos was recalled by the Utah Jazz from the D-League affiliated, the Utah Flash. Koufos was assigned to the Flash two weeks ago, averaging 20.2 points and 10.5 rebounds in four games, in his second stint in the D-League this season. The young center also played for the Flash last January, and during the past season.

Pesic, Maljkovic and Repesa, among the candidates to coach Bosnian NT

After being unable to qualify Bosnia-Herzegovina to the last two European championship, Mensur Bajramovic won't be the National Team coach in the next qualification stage this summer. Bosnian Federation is considering names like Svetislav Pesic, Bozidar Maljkovic and Jasmin Repesa (now coaching Benetton) to offer them the job. Other candidates are Aleksandar Petrovic and Emir Mutapcic.

Luis Scola wants to stay in Houston, and to play in Caja Laboral after leaving the NBA

Luis Scola is happy playing for Houston Rockets, and wants to stay in his current team after his contract with the Texan franchise expires this summer. Scola is averaging 15.5 points and 8.8 rebounds this season. Argentinian forward will also return to his last club in Europe, Spanish team Caja Laboral, when he leaves the NBA.

Real Madrid, interested in Sergio Rodríguez for next season.

Former player Alberto Herreros, now in Real Madrid basketball section office, was in the Madison Square Garden after the last Knicks game against Rockets to have a meeting with Sergio Rodríguez, guard of the New York team. Real Madrid is reported to be interested in signing Spanish player for the next season. Rodríguez contract expires this season, through the Knicks have an extension option.

Panionios wants to terminate B.J. Elder contract

B.J. Elder days in Panionios are soon to be over. American guard hasn't impressed to the Greek team, and is currently in talks with the club to terminate his contract. Elder arrived to Panionios this season, and is averaging 7.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 25.3 minutes per game.

Kavala wants to fire DeJuan Collins

Greek team Kavala has lost the patience with DeJuan Collins. Coach Vangelis Alexandris is upset with the attiude of the American guard, and the club is considering to fire Collins due to disciplinary matters. 33-year-old ago arrived in November to Kavala to help the team to avoid relegation, and is averaging 12.8 points and 3.3 assists per game.

Darnell Jackson is recalled by the Cavaliers, but will be waived to make room for Zydrunas Ilgauskas

The second stint this season of Darnell Jackson in the D-League lasts exactly the same as the first one: one game. The forward was recalled by Cleveland Cavaliers after posting 32 points and 11 rebounds in Erie BayHawks game against Dakota Wizards. Despite of this good game, Jackson will likely be waived by the Cavs to make room for Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who will rejoin the team probably on Monday.

Aleksandar Smiljanic and Koper part ways
