Dnipro inks Steve Burtt and Mario Austin

Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk has landed two new American players for the upcoming season. The Ukrainian team has officially announced the signing of Steve Burtt and Mario Austin. The 26-year-old guard will continue his career in Ukraine after finishing last season in Ferro-ZNTU, where Burtt was the top scorer of the domestic Super League averaging 22.4 points and 5.5 assists per game. On the other hand, the 28-year-old center will play for the next time in Ukraine for Dnipro. Austin started last season in Meridiano Alicante before being released on January, and then played briefly in Puerto Rico for the Atléticos de San Germán.

Atléticos de San Germán sign Ernest Brown to replace Mario Austin

Ernest Brown is the new player of the Atléticos de San Guzmán. The 31-year-old center, a former player of the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics, replaced Mario Austin, who arrived to Puerto Rico last month. Brown has played this season in Bulgaria (Lukoil Akademik), China (Beijing Ducks) and Venezuela (Toros de Aragua) before landing in the Puerto Rican BSN league.

Atléticos de Germán sign Rod Benson and release Leroy Hickerson

The Atléticos de San Germán have announced the acquisition of Rod Benson to the Puerto Rican team. The 25-year-old forward has played this season in the Reno Bighorns, averaging 14.1 points and 9.7 rebounds per game in the D-League. The Atléticos have also decided to release Leroy Hickerson, who arrived last March.

Atléticos de San Germán, close to bring Jesse Pellot-Rosa back

The stint of Jesse Pallot-Rosa in Israel is over after his team, Maccabi Haifa, was defeated in the Super League playoff. The American guard, who has averaged 17.1 points per game, will be back to the BSN league in the next days to play with the Atléticos de San Germán. The Puerto Rican team have also signed Karim Malpica to take the spot left by Donald Copeland, released due to an injury. The Mexican guard arrives from the Soles de Mexicali, where he averaged 5.3 points and 2.9 assists per game.

Atléticos de San Germán sign Mario Austin

Atléticos de San Germán have found a replacement for Marcus Melvin, who is suffering a knee injury. The Puerto Rican team has signed Mario Austin, who was released from the Spanish team Meridiano Alicante on January. The 28-year-old center, who averaged 10.8 points and 4.1 rebounds wih Alicante, has also played in Russia, Italy, Turkey, Israel and China.

Atléticos de San Guzman send Steven Ramírez to Indios de Mayagüez in exchange of Frank López rights

Atléticos de San Guzmán have traded guard Steven Ramírez to Indios de Mayagüez in exchange of forward Frank López rights. López was traded a couple of months ago from Atléticos in exchange of Roberto Herrera, so he will be back to his former team. Indios will improve his team with a new guard like Ramírez.

Atléticos de San Guzmán, close to add Ryan Abraham and Carlos Strong

Atléticos de San Guzmán are waiting for recently drafted players Ryan Abraham and Carlos Strong to land in the team this weekend. Both guards come from the NCAA league. Abraham is playing for Appalachian State, while Strong does it for Boston University. None of them will play in the NCAA March Madness.

Atleticos de San Germán shakes roster to add Donald Copeland, Leroy Hickerson and Jesse Pellot-Rosa

Atléticos de San Germán traded center Manuel de Jesús to Leones de Ponce, and forward Raúl Orta and guard "Fifo" Vega to Guaynabo Mets in exchange of a 2011 first round draft pick. With this movements, Atléticos made room for guard Donald Copeland (recently fired by Bosna Sarajevo), forward Leroy Hickerson (one of the stars of the Mexican league with Pioneros de Cancún) and guard Jesse Pellot-Rosa (trying to buy-out his contract with Maccabi Haifa, and former Puerto Rican league MVP).
