Cleveland Cavaliers sign Christian Eyenga

As expected, the Cleveland Cavaliers have officially announced the signing of Christian Eyenga. The 21-year-old Congolese forward arrives to the NBA franchise from DKV Joventut, averaging 3.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in the last ACB league. Eyenga was selected with the 30th overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft by the Cavs.

Christian Eyenga will play for the Cleveland Cavaliers for the next two seasons

DKV Joventut and the Cleveland Cavaliers have reached to an agreement for Christian Eyenga. The 21-year-old Congolese forward, selected in the NBA 2009 by the Cavs, was under contract by the Spanish club until 2011. Eyenga, who averaged 3.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game last season, will finally sign a two-year contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Cleveland Cavaliers, close to sign Christian Eyenga

Christian Eyenga, forward of DKV Joventut, is in the United States to practice with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and could have decided to play in the NBA team for the next three seasons. The 20-year-old Congolese player, who has averaged 3.8 points and 2.0 rebounds in the last ACB league, was drafted in the 30th position by the Cavs in 2009, and has guaranteed a three-year contract in the NBA team.

DKV Joventut looking for an American center

DKV Joventut is not happy with the performances of Spanish centers Antonio Bueno and Eduardo Hernández-Sonseca, and is looking for an American player to replace one of them. Congolese forward Christian Eyenga could also leave the team if the new signing is confirmed. Joventut has lost the last 6 games in the ACB league, and is currently out of the play-off zone.
