Khimik part ways with Larry Abney and Brian Wethers

The brief stint in Ukraine of guard Brian Wethers and center Larry Abney, both signed last month by Khimik, is over. The two American players have agreed with the Ukrainian team to terminate their contracts. Wethers just played 13 minutes per game for Khimik (averaging 3 points), while Abney averaged 24 minutes and 9 points for his already former team.

Victor Samnick, finally released from ASVEL Villeurbanne

As expected, Victor Samnick is no longer player of ASVEL Villeurbanne after agreeing to the termination of his contract. The French team signed the 30-year-old Cameroonian forward last October, and has averaged 8.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in the LNB this season. The recovery of Curtis Borchardt made Samnick not necessary in the current French league champion.

Spanish LEB Oro team Bàsquet Mallorca and Daniel Northern have agreed to terminate the contract of the player. San Antonio Spurs close to sign Manu Ginóbili to a $40 million, 3-year extension

A 3-year, $40 million extension will make Manu Ginóbili to keep playing for the San Antonio Spurs for almost the rest of his professional career. As expected, Xacobeo Blu:Sens has signed Paul Davis for the rest of the season, as the Spanish club has announced today. Toronto Raptors, interested in Stephane Lasme and D'Or Fischer, from Maccabi Tel Aviv

Toronto Raptors are reported by the Israeli media to be interested in the American center D'Or Fischer, and in the Gabonese forward Stephane Lasme, both from Maccabi Tel Aviv. In the last years, the Raptors have also signed two other players from the Israeli team, Maceo Baston and Anthony Parker. Lasme played briefly for the Golden State Warriors and the Miami Heat in the 2007-08 season before moving to Partizan, in Serbia, and was signed by Maccabi last summer. Fischer played in college for the Northwestern State University and for West Virginia, and is currently in his second season in the Maccabi roster.

The Polish team PBG Basket Poznan and Nenad Misanovic have agreed to terminate the contract of the Serbian center. Misovanovic, who arrived last January to Poznan from Radnicki, had to leave the court during last game due to an arm injury, and has decide to undergo rehabilitation in Belgrade. Metalac lands Ivan Maras, from Budocnost

Metalac is improving the roster to try to do something great in the last stage of the Serbian Super League. After the arrivals of Jovan Teodosic, Mile Ilic and Bojan Bakic, the team based in Valjevo has announced the signing of Ivan Maras. Austin Toros sign Cory Underwood and Emmanual Jones, and waive Eric Dawson

The D-League franchise Austin Toros have announced the acquisition of forward Cory Underwood (recently waived by the Dakota Wizards) and forward Emmanual Jones (waived in February by the Idaho Stampede).
