As expected, Vladimir Golubovic will join Banvit next season. The 24-year-old Slovenian forward has reached to an agreement with the Turkish team. Golubovic arrives to Banvit after finishing last season with the champion of the last ACB league, Caja Laboral, averaging 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.

The 22-year-old Dominican guard would start his professional career in the Italian team after playing during the last four seasons for the University of Louisville, averaging 13.1 points and 4.5 assists per game in his senior year. Caja Laboral won't extend the contract of Milt Palacio and Vladimir Golubovic, so both players are free agents. The American-Belizean guard arrived to the Spanish team from Kavala last month to replace Sean Singletary, while the Slovenian forward left Union Olimpija due to the economic problems of the team, and was signed by Caja Laboral on February.

Caja Laboral is planning the next season assuming that Tiago Splitter won't continue in the team to move to the NBA. The arrival of a replacement could also make the Spanish team not to extend the contract of Stanko Barac. Caja Laboral is waiting for the evolution of the injuries of Lior Eliyahu and Stanko Barac to make a decision about Vladimir Golubovic. The Slovenian forward, who arrived to Vitoria with a temporary contract from Union Olimpija, would be released if Eliyahu or Barac finally recover from their injury. If not, Golubovic will continue in the team for the rest of the season, and Eliyahu or Barac will be deactivated.
