Ironi Ashkelon brings back Rahshon Turner

After playing last season in Spain, Rahshon Turner is back to Ironi Ashkelon. The Israeli team has signed the veteran 35-year-old American forward for the next season. Turner was a free agent after being released by Menorca Bàsquet, where he arrived after playing during the 2008-09 season for Ironi Ashkelon. In the last LEB Oro, Turner averaged 10.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game last season, helping his former team to promote to the ACB league.

Maccabi Rishon LeZion tabs Eyal Shulman

Eyal Shulman will continue his career in Maccabi Rishon LeZion. The Israeli team has signed the 22-year-old guard to a three-year contract. Shulman played last season in the National League for Hapoel Megido, averaging 12.2 points and 3.0 assists per game. Maccabi Rishon has also released the young 18-year-old guard Tamir Simchony, who lands in Ironi Ashkelon, along with the 22-year-old forward Ahiad Bukra, from Maccabi Ashdod, and the 19-year-old guard Dudu Shimriz, from Hapoel Beeri.

Ironi Ashkelon signs Gabe Pruitt

After three seasons in the NBA and the D-League, Gabe Pruitt will continue his career in Israel. Ironi Ashkelon has signed the 24-year-old guard for the next season. Pruitt, who played for the Boston Celtics from 2007 to 2009, finished last season in the Utah Flash, averaging 11.1 points and 2.5 assists per game for the D-League franchise.

Maccabi Ashdod, in talks with Sharon Sasson and Cory Carr

Maccabi Ashdod will play next season in the Israeli Super League, and is starting to look for new players. The Israeli club is in talks to land the 32-year-old forward Sharon Sasson, who won't continue next season in Hapoel Jerusalem, and the the 34-year-old American-Israeli guard Cory Carr, from Ironi Ashkelon.

Brian Tolbert, close to be back to Hapoel Holon

After playing last season for Ironi Ashkelon, Brian Tolbert is in advanced talks to go back to Hapoel Holon, where he played in the 2008-09 season. The veteran 36-year-old American guard averaged 9.9 points and 2.4 assists per game in the last Israeli Super League, where he's playing since 2004 (with a brief stint in Ukraine)

Ironi Ashkelon signs John Jacques and Lior Lifshitz

Ironi Ashkelon has made a couple of new additions for the next season. Thet Israeli team has signed John Jacques, a 22-year-old American forward, from the University of Cornell, who averaged 6.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game last season, and Lior Lifshitz, a 25-year-old guard who posted 5.4 points and 2.4 assists per game in his second season with Hapoel Holon.

Ironi Ashkelon, close to sign Erez Markovic

Ironi Ashkelon could be close to land Erez Markovic for the next season. The 31-year-old center started last season in Maccabi Rishon-Lez, to move on February to Hapoel Holon. Markovic averaged 4.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game for his last team in the Israeli Super League.

Maccabi Haifa signs Robert Rothbart

New addition for Maccabi Haifa. The Israeli team has signed Robert Rothbart for the next season. The 24-year-old center played last season for Maccabi Netanya, averaging 4.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. On the other hand, the 31-year-old guard Dror Hajaj won't continue in Maccabi Haifa, after being signed by Ironi Ashkelon.

Hapoel Holon signs Moran Roth

Moran Roth is back to Hapoel Holon. The Israeli team has signed the 27-year-old guard to a two-year contract. Roth played last season for Ironi Ashkelon, averaging 11.3 points and 4.8 assists per game. This will be his second stint in Hapoel Holon after playing there in the 2007-08 season.

Chester Simmons and Sharon Sasson could leave Hapoel Jerusalem

Despite having a contract with Hapoel Jerusalem, Sharon Sasson could be released soon by the Israeli team. The Israeli forward is already on the radar of Galil Gilboa and Ironi Ashkelon in case the former player of Maccabi leaves Hapoel. Another player with an uncertain future in the Israeli team is Chester Simmons, who could be also released by Hapoel.
