Nemanja Aleksandrov leaves Union Olimpija

As expected, Nemanja Aleksandrov is officially no longer player of Union Olimpija. The 22-year-old Serbian forward has decided to leave the Slovenian team due to the constant payment delays of the club. Aleksandrov, who averaged 5.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in the last Adriatic league, was signed to a 3-year contract by Olimpija, but now is a free agent.

Gaiteros del Zulia sign Ronnie Fields

Ronnie Fields is back to Venezuela, after being signed by the Gaiteros de Zulia. The 33-year-old American forward has played before for the Trotamundos de Carabobo, the Guaros de Lara and the Gatos de Monagas. Fields will arrive to the Gaiteros from the Dominican team Sameji.

Mets de Guaynabo sign Matt Freije to replace definitely Marcus Fizer

The Mets de Guaynabo have signed Matt Freije to replace Marcus Fizer, who was definitely released by the Puerto Rican team. Fizer arrived to the Mets last February, but his physical problems didn't allow him to succeed in his stint in Puerto Rico, averaging 13.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. His replacement, Matt Freije, arrives from the Lebanese league. The 28-year-old forward, who played for two seasons in the NBA with the New Orleans Hornets and the Atlanta Hawks, is back to Puerto Rico after playing the last two seasons for the Leones de Ponce and the Criollos de Caguas.

Trotamundos de Carabobo land Danny Brown

More arrivals to the Trotamundos de Carabobo. After Julius Hodge, the Venezuela team has announced the landing of Danny Brown. The 24-year-old American guard arrives from the Mexican team Lobos UAD Mazatlan, where he averaged 24.0 points and 6.7 rebounds in 37.8 minutes per game in the Cibacopa.

Caja Laboral signs officially Milt Palacio

It's official. Milt Palacio was signed for the rest of the season by Caja Laboral. The American player will replace Sean Singletary in the Spanish team. Palacio lands in Vitoria after ending the season in Greece playing for Kavala. This will be the first stint in Spain for the 32-year-old guard, who has also played in the NBA, Serbia and Russia.

Sergio Rodríguez, undecided about his future

Sergio Rodríguez, who ended last season with the New York Knicks, is still undecided about where to play next year. Rodríguez, who has attracted interest from several Spanish team, doesn't rule out to stay in the NBA or to play in Europe. The 23-year-old guard averaged 6.6 points and 3.2 assists last season.

Vinny Del Negro, fired as the Chicago Bulls head coach

As expected, the Chicago Bulls have officially fired Vinny Del Negro. The head coach was in charge of the NBA team since before the 2008-09 season, and left the team after qualifing it to the playoff for the second time in a row. His personal problems with the executive vice president of basketball operations, John Paxson, are behind this decision. The franchise will have to find another coach for next season.

Caciques de Humacao sign Antonio Anderson to replace John Millsap

The Caciques de Humacao have signed Antonio Anderson to replace John Millsap, who was released due to an injury. Anderson arrives to Puerto Rico after winning the D-League championship with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, averaging 17.9 points and 7.1 assists per game. The 24-year-old guard also made his debut this season in the NBA playing one game with the Oklahoma City Thunder. John Millsap, brother of the Jazz forward Paul Millsap, was averaging 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in the Puerto Rican team.
