Maccabi Tel Aviv, close to sign Sarunas Jasikevicius to a two-year contract

The return of Sarunas Jasikevicius to Maccabi is getting closer. The 34-year-old Lithuanian guard, a free agent since being released by Panathinaikos weeks ago, could be announced soon by the Israeli team. Jasikevicius would sign a two-year, €1.2 million contract with Maccabi, where he played between 2003 and 2005. Last season, Jasikevicius averaged 8.0 points and 2.5 assists per game in the last Greek A1 league.
