Portland Trail Blazers waive Ryan Gomes

As expected, The Portland Trail Blazers have decided to waive Ryan Gomes, who has become a free agent. The 27-year-old forward was acquired days ago via trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he averaged 10.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per season. This move will save the Blazers about $8 million.
