Ventspils fires Silvano Poropat

Ventspils has decided to release the head coach Silvano Poropat, after failing to reach the Latvian league finals against VEF Riga. The Croatian coach was appointed last January to replace Agris Galvanovskis, after being in charge of the German team Ludwigsburg for five seasons.
