Maccabi Tel Aviv, close to sign Sarunas Jasikevicius, and also interested in Joel Freeland and Lior Eliyahu

Sarunas Jasikevicius could be closer to be back to Maccabi Tel Aviv. The 34-year-old Lithuanian guard could agree to earn half his current salary in Panathinaikos to return to Maccabi, where he played between 2003 and 2005. The Israeli team wants also to land former player Lior Eliyahu, and is waiting for the resolution of his contract with Caja Laboral, in case the Israeli forward and the Spanish team part ways at the end of the season. Maccabi is also looking for a center. Kosta Perovic is closer to stay in Power Electronics Valencia after the departure of the coach Neven Spahija, so the new target is Joel Freeland. The 23-year-old British center, drafted in 2006 by the Portland Trail Blazers, is playing in Unicaja.
