New York Knicks waive retired Cuttino Mobley
The New York Knicks have waived Cuttino Mobley. The guard hasn't played a single game with the Knicks since being traded from the Los Angeles Clippers in November 2008, due to a potentially fatal heart condition. Mobley decided to retire, but his contract (expiring this season) still was counting in the Knicks payroll. Now, the NBA franchise has a open spot in the roster.
