Lithuanian coach Ramunas Butautas would consider to coach Poland if the Federation offers him the job. Spanish LEB Oro team CAI Zaragoza signed center Oriol Junyent, a free agent since not extending his temporary contract with ACB team Xacobeo Blu:Sens a couple of weeks ago. It's official. Salva Guardia was released by Bilbao Basket, after a year and a half in the team. Guardia signed until the end of this season, but won't finish it in Bilbao. Now, Guardia is said to sign soon with Ayuda en Acción Fuenlabrada, for the rest of the season and the next one. Veteran Spanish center played 73 games with the Basque team.

The Reno Bighorns have acquired guard Will Blalock from the Maine Red Claws in exchange for guard Russell Robinson. Blalock, a 6-1 guard out of Iowa State, averaged 8.5 points and 5.6 assists with the Red Claws this season. He played in 14 NBA games with the Detroit Pistons in the 2006-07 season. Former Real Madrid and Spain NT coach Javier Imbroda rejected an offer of the Lebanese Basketball Federation in December. Imbroda is not coaching any team since last summer, but rejected the offer. The reason was that the Federation wanted Imbroda to stay in Lebanon for 5 months before the next World Cup. Also Aris Salonica and Spartak St. Petersburg showed interest in Imbroda.

NBA commissioner David Stern has suspended Gilbert Arenas for the rest of the season, and the Washington Wizards' star guard has told associates that he will not appeal the league's decision, according to a league source. Crittenton also was suspended for the rest of the season in the decision handed down Wednesday afternoon. Both players pleaded guilty of an incident in Wizards locker involving guns.
