Ayuda en Acción Fuenlabrada signs Devin Davis

Spanish team Fuenlabrada have announced the signing of American forward Devin Davis for the rest of the season. 36-year-old player played last season for Breogán in LEB Oro, and was training with the team during the last days. During his long career in Spain, Davis has played for Gran Canaria, Barcelona and Valladolid, among others. This is the Fuenlabrada second signing for the frontcourt after bringing back to the team another veteran as Salva Guardia.

Coach George Karl will extend his contract with Denver Nuggets for one more year

George Karl has agreed to a one-year extension, $4.5 milion, with Denver Nuggets. In his career as a coach, Karl has been in Cleveland, Golden State, Real Madrid (Spain), Seattle, Milwaukee and, since 2005, Denver.

Milwaukee Bucks in talks to send Ersan Ilyasova to Indiana Pacers in exchange of Troy Murphy

Another trade rumor in these pre-deadline days comes from the Central Division. Milwaukee and Indiana are in talks to trade Turkish forward Ersan Ilyasova (who would go to Pacers) in exchange of Troy Murphy. Murphy is also under the radar of teams like Cleveland Cavaliers.

Wizards and Celtics are in talks to close a deal that would send Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison to Boston and Ray Allen (along with the expiring contracts of Brian Scalabrine and J.R. Giddens) to Washington. The trade deadline is set to next Thursday, 18th.

Greek team Peristeri have officially announced the acquisition of forward Lazaros Agadakos, who was already training with the team during the last 10 days. Duke and U.S.A. National team coach Mike Krzyzewski has been rumoured to be a candidate for New Jersey Nets next season. "Coach K" is the first choice, according to a NBA source. Deutsche Bank Skyliners land Anthony Fisher for a two-week try-out

After American point guard Aubrey Reese injury, German team Deutsche Bank Skyliners have brought Anthony Fisher to replace him. Apoel Nicosia signs Marcus Hall for a try-out to replace Wykeen Kelly

Third team in a couple of weeks for guard Marcus Hall. After leaving LegaDue team Fastweb Casale to try (and fail) in Germany with Ludwigsburg, now the 25-year-old player is in a new try-out with Apoel Nicosia, in Cyprus. Former Balkan League star will have a new chance to sign a guarantee contract for the rest of the season and wil replace Wykeen Kelly, inked by Hapoel Holon. This is the second signing of Apoel in a week after adding Rick Hughes.

AEK Athens in talks with Pantelis Papaioakeim

AEK Athens is currently in talks with forward Pantelis Papaioakeim. The player has refuesed last proposal from the Greek squad because 34-year-old player felt that the salary offered is too low. Houston Rockets in talks of a three-team trade that would send Tracy McGrady to New York

Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards and New York Knicks are in talks for a three-way trade. Boston Celtics in talks to send Glen Davis to Charlotte in exchange of D.J. Augustin

Boston Celtics want a reserve point guard for Rajon Rondo, and have offered forward Glen Davis to Charlotte Bobcats to get sophomore guard D.J. Augustin in exchange. D.J. Augustin isn't happy in Charlotte due to the lack of confidence of his coach, Larry Brown, while Glen Davis missed the first 27 games to the season after breaking his thumb in a stupid fight with a friend.

Vanoli Cremona has decided to change his head coach. Italian team fired Stefano Coppi, and signed Attilio Caja to replace him. Coppi was the coach that guided Cremona to Lega A, but the club has decided to bring an experienced coach like Caja, who has been in charge of teams such as Virtus Roma, Olimpia Milano or Scavolini Pesaro. Golden State Warriors won't extend Coby Karl 10-day contract

Golden State Warriors won't resign Coby Karl for a second 10-day contract. The forward signed days ago to replace Cartier Martin, who wasn't resigned for the rest of the season after two 10-days contract. Karl was called up from D-League team Idaho Stampede (where he arrived after being waived by Cleveland in early January) and in his 4 games with the Warriors is averaging 7.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 27 minutes.

Uros Slokar and Union Olimpija part ways

Uros Slokar is no longer player of Union Olimpija, after agreeing with the Slovenian team the termination of his contract. Slokar decided to leave due to an offer from Italy (probably Montepaschi Siena) he couldn't refuse, especially with the dificult financial situation of Olimpija. Houston Rockets want to add Sergio Llull next season

Chris Anstey announces his retirement

Australian center Chris Anstey retires from basketball. One of the best players in his home country history was playing since 2005 for NBL team Melbourne Tigers, but is especially known due to his three seasons in the NBA, two in Dallas Mavericks and one in Chicago Bulls. 35-year-old center also played in Russia (Ural Great and Unics Kazan) for three years.

Houston Rockets sign Garrett Temple; Rio Grande Valley Vipers re-acquire Will Conroy and sign Russell Carter

Houston Rockets have officialy signed forward Garrett Temple for a 10-day contract, as expected. That decision means too that Will Conroy won't see his contract extended, and has been re-acquired by his D-League franchise, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, to fill the void left by Temple. Vipers also signed guard Russell Carter, who started the season with Austin Toros.

Ramunas Butautas resigned as Zalgiris Kaunas coach

Shocking news from Kaunas: Head coach Ramunas Butautas was asked to resign by Zalgiris owner Vladimir Romanov, along with sporting director Algirdas Brazys, due to the bad results in he last weeks. Butautas arrived to Zalgiris just two months ago to replace Gintaras Krapikas, a few days after resigning as BC Donetsk head coach. The temporary Zalgiris head coach will be, for the second time this season, Darius Maskoliunas. Butautas was considering coaching Polish NT days ago.
